Last August, we partnered with the Whitby Chamber of Commerce for their food drive supporting Feed the Need in Durham, a regional food distribution warehouse serving Durham Region.
Sure, things got competitive. We may have challenged a brokerage twice our size in a competition for who could raise the most number of food items. And won.
But it was for a good cause!
Food donations see a drastic drop during summer months, making this season the toughtest time of the year for community food banks and the people they serve. With your help, we can make sure these organizations have the food they need, which directly helps families living in our communities.
Please donate non-perishable items at one of the 8 drop off locations throughout the month of June. Our D.I.S. Financial Group office (122 Byron Street North, Whitby) is one of them! We’ll also be out in the community spreading the word, so please share and help us CAN hunger!
